Cowley Manor
Tasked with delivering exceptional stonework for Cowley Manor’s new pavilion, Farmington crafted intricate natural stone details that seamlessly merge contemporary architecture with the timeless elegance of this historic Cotswold hotel.
The Pavilion
Farmington was commissioned to craft the natural stone ashlar and intricate dressings for a new pavilion at Cowley Manor, housing five high-ceilinged guest rooms. The pavilion, designed to harmonise with the historic manor, required stonework of the highest standard to maintain the character and aesthetic of the original building.
Working closely with the architect, our experienced design team and traditional masons used Bath stone from Limpey Stoke Mine, blending modern technology and artisan techniques. The project required solving complex design challenges, including the creation of intricate arches with dual radius curves, showcasing the flexibility and elegance of natural stone.
By balancing cutting-edge machinery with the expertise of our fixing team, Farmington exceeded expectations, delivering high-quality stonework that perfectly complemented the vision of this historic renovation.
